Hozier was approached by Sony due to his signing with Columbia Records in the US, and he worked with McCreary to find a balance for the song that hit all the thematic notes of the game. Hozier and McCreary performed the song live at The Game Awards on December 8, 2022.

This award-winning soundtrack is available as a premium package and pressed on Blue Smoke colored vinyl.
